Weed Control
Millfoil Weed Pic_edited.jpg

Utilize the collective power of our communities and individuals to ensure that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and local authorities consistently monitor and maintain the lake. This will help keep the lake healthy, safe, and free from invasive weed species. By doing so, the lake can be enjoyed by all for activities such as boating, fishing, water sports, and other recreational activities.

Announcements / Updates

While the Advocacy Group doesn't believe we are completely quite entirely out of the water with the weed issue, the Advocacy Group is confident that the ODNR will continue to monitor the Lake and keep it safe, healthy and invasive weed free by utilizing all the knowledge and tools at their disposal gained from the previous two years.  The Advocacy Group would like to thank, Dr Jones from Restorative Lake Sciences, Mark Heilman of Sea Pro, Matthew Johnson from Aquatic Controls, ODNR, Watershed,  Our Advocacy Members for their trust and support, and anyone else involved whom help make 2023 a much, much better boating season, unlike the weedy season of 2022.   The Board Members of the Advocacy Group would also like to thank Bud Christman for his continual search for knowledge, for connecting and bringing experts to the lake, for assistance in finding government funding, and for his ability to bring people and groups together.

The Advocacy Group, as I am sure all of you do as well, look forward to a great and invasive weed free 2024 Boating and Fishing Season.
